Department of Physical Therapy
A pioneer of the DPT program in Mianwali, with real patient experience on campus.
Introduction
About the program
The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is a five-year (10-semester) professional degree approved by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC). It prepares students to become competent healthcare professionals who can assess, diagnose, and manage movement disorders caused by injury, illness, or disability. The curriculum blends foundational sciences such as anatomy, physiology, and pathology with clinical and behavioral sciences, with emphasis on manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and electrotherapy techniques.
ONIMS, established in 2021, is a pioneer in offering the DPT program in Mianwali. Students gain practical experience through real patient interactions at the on-campus Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Center, which also provides free services to the local community.
