Department of Medical Lab Technology

The first 4-year BS Medical Laboratory Technology program in Mianwali.

Introduction

About the program

Obaid Noor Institute of Medical Sciences (ONIMS) proudly launched the first 4-year BS Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program in Mianwali, dedicated to providing quality education to pre-medical and F.Sc (MLT) students. The department addresses the rising demand for skilled Medical Lab Technologists in the region by offering comprehensive hands-on training, desk-based practical sessions, and supervised clinical rotations. Students learn to operate advanced diagnostic equipment and analyze blood, body fluids, and other biological samples.

Medical Laboratory Technologists play a crucial role in healthcare, supporting physicians in the diagnosis, monitoring, and prevention of diseases. Graduates develop strong knowledge in clinical biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and molecular biology, and can go on to become laboratory managers, educators, research technologists, forensic scientists, and technical advisors.

Welcome to the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology at Obaid Noor Institute of Medical Sciences (ONIMS). We take immense pride in offering a strong academic foundation integrated with hands-on learning experiences to prepare students for the ever-evolving demands of the healthcare sector. Our program focuses on building a solid understanding of laboratory techniques, diagnostic tools, and biomedical sciences. Through internships, workshops, and practical projects with reputable healthcare institutions, our students gain real-world exposure that bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and professional practice.

At ONIMS, we are fortunate to have a team of experienced and dedicated faculty members who are passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. Our state-of-the-art labs, updated equipment, and resource-rich academic environment create the ideal setting for student growth and success.
